Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, learning platform, courses, certificates, and related services provided by Stanmore School of Business (“SSB”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your account

To access many features, you must register for an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, violate these Terms, or pose a security or legal risk.

3. Course access and licence

When you enrol in a course, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access course materials for your own learning purposes. Unless expressly permitted in writing, you may not:

  • copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share course content;
  • record, scrape, or systematically download platform materials;
  • use the Services to provide competing training without our consent; or
  • share account access with others.

Course availability, structure, and content may be updated from time to time to improve quality, accuracy, or compliance.

4. Payments, pricing, and refunds

Fees for courses, subscriptions, certificates, or other products are displayed at checkout. By completing a purchase, you authorise us and our payment processors to charge the applicable amount using your selected payment method.

Prices may change for future purchases. Any refund eligibility depends on the product purchased and the refund policy stated at the point of sale or in your order confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, digital course access is generally non-refundable once substantial access has been granted, except where required by applicable consumer law.

4a. Learner Rewards Wallet and promotional course credit

Where enabled for your account and brand, SSB may offer a Learner Rewards Wallet programme that issues promotional course credit (sometimes described as “wallet credit”, “cashback”, or “rewards”) after qualifying course purchases. This Section 4a applies to that programme and any similar promotional credit we make available on the platform.

Nature of credit. Promotional course credit is a discount benefit for future eligible purchases on our platform only. It is not legal tender, e-money, stored value, or a gift card, and has no cash value. Credit cannot be exchanged, withdrawn, transferred, sold, or assigned to another person or account.

How credit is earned. Credit is issued only when stated programme rules are met — typically after a completed, paid enrollment for an eligible course. Extensions, certificate reprints, subscription renewals, refunds, chargebacks, complimentary access, and other non-enrollment transactions are excluded unless we expressly state otherwise. The cashback percentage, minimum purchase threshold, eligible currencies, and qualifying products are set by SSB and may change from time to time.

How credit is used. Available credit is applied automatically at checkout toward the purchase price of eligible courses on our platform, up to the amount due for that transaction. You do not need a coupon code. Credit is applied in the same currency as the credit balance where possible. If your cart total is lower than your available balance, only the amount needed for that purchase is used; any remainder stays in your wallet until redeemed or forfeited under these Terms.

Expiry and forfeiture. Credit may be subject to an expiry date where shown in your wallet or in programme communications. Expired, revoked, or unused credit is forfeited without compensation. Credit is forfeited if your account is closed, suspended for breach of these Terms, or if the underlying qualifying payment is refunded or charged back. We may adjust, reverse, or revoke credit issued in error or through suspected fraud or abuse.

Stacking and other offers. Unless we expressly allow it, promotional course credit may not be combined with other discounts, coupon codes, referral rewards, or partner offers on the same purchase. Where both wallet credit and another promotion could apply, we will apply programme rules as displayed at checkout.

Partner and manual credits. Credit may occasionally be issued through partner programmes or manual adjustments. Such credit remains subject to these Terms and any additional conditions communicated to you.

Programme changes. We may introduce, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Learner Rewards Wallet or any promotional credit feature at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law. Changes do not affect credit already redeemed, but may affect future earning or redemption.

No warranty of availability. We do not guarantee that any particular course, price, or credit balance will remain available. Displayed balances and checkout applications are subject to verification at the time of payment.

5. Certificates and credentials

Certificates or credentials may be issued when stated completion criteria are met. Certificates confirm completion of our programme requirements only and do not constitute regulated professional accreditation unless explicitly stated. You may not alter, misrepresent, or falsely claim affiliation with SSB.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • violating applicable laws or third-party rights;
  • uploading malware or attempting to disrupt platform security;
  • harassing, impersonating, or abusing other users or staff;
  • using automated tools to access the platform without permission;
  • attempting to bypass payment, access controls, or assessment rules; and
  • using the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.

7. Intellectual property

All platform content, branding, software, course materials, assessments, designs, and documentation are owned by or licensed to SSB and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence in Section 3, no rights are granted to you by implication or otherwise.

8. Third-party services

The Services may integrate third-party tools such as payment gateways, login providers, video hosts, analytics, or verification services. Your use of those services may be subject to separate third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we do not control.

9. Disclaimers

The Services and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Educational content is provided for general learning purposes and does not constitute legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Outcomes such as employment, promotion, or qualification recognition are not guaranteed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SSB and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant product or service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services immediately if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Stanmore School of Business’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction will resolve disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
