I learned a lot about cognitive rehabilitation theories and models, and how to apply them in real-life situations. The course materials were decent, but sometimes I felt like they were a bit too theoretical. However, the case studies and group discussions were really helpful in making the concepts more concrete. I enrolled in the Certificate in Cognitive Rehabilitation (Advanced) course to gain a deeper understanding of cognitive rehabilitation principles and practices. As a healthcare professional in Ghana, I was keen to learn about evidence-based interventions that I could apply in my local context. The course provided a detailed overview of cognitive rehabilitation models and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and cognitive training. I found the course materials to be well-organized and easy to follow, although some of the technical terms and jargon were unfamiliar to me at first. The course also covered some really interesting topics, such as cognitive rehabilitation in neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injury. One area for improvement could be more discussion of low-resource settings and how to adapt cognitive rehabilitation strategies in these contexts. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the course and feel like it has equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills to support my patients.
