I recently completed the Collection Development course at Stanmore School of Business, and I must say it was an incredibly enriching experience. The course content was highly relevant and helped me achieve my learning goals by providing a comprehensive understanding of collection development principles and practices. I gained practical knowledge on how to conduct community needs assessments, develop collection policies, and evaluate collection effectiveness. The course materials were of high quality, and the instructor's feedback was constructive and timely. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the course and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their collection development skills.
Hey, I just finished the Collection Development course and it was pretty cool! I mean, I learned a lot about how to build a collection that's actually relevant to my community. We did this one project where we had to create a collection development plan for a fictional library, and it was really helpful to see how all the concepts we learned in class applied to a real-world scenario. The course materials were okay, but sometimes I felt like they were a bit too theoretical. Still, the instructor was really knowledgeable and made the classes engaging. Overall, I'd say it was a good experience and I'd recommend it to others, but maybe with a few tweaks to the course materials.
Oh my goodness, I am just so excited to share my experience with the Collection Development course! It was truly life-changing. I gained so many practical skills, like how to conduct a collection analysis and develop a collection budget. And the best part was that we got to work on a group project where we had to create a collection development policy for a real library. It was amazing to see how all the concepts we learned in class came together in a real-world setting. The course materials were top-notch, and the instructor was incredibly supportive and enthusiastic. I felt like I was part of a community, and that made all the difference. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who wants to take their collection development skills to the next level!
The Collection Development course at Stanmore School of Business provided me with a detailed understanding of the principles and practices involved in developing and maintaining a library collection. The course content was well-structured, and the instructor's lectures were clear and concise. I appreciated the opportunity to engage with the course materials, which included case studies and scenarios that illustrated the practical applications of collection development concepts. One area of particular interest to me was the discussion on diversity and inclusion in collection development, which I found to be highly relevant to my work in a multicultural library setting. While I found the course to be informative and engaging, I would have liked to see more emphasis on the challenges and opportunities faced by libraries in developing countries. Nonetheless, I would recommend this course to library professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in collection development.
