I must say that the Film Studies course at Stanmore School of Business was an eye-opener for me. As a Ghanaian filmmaker, I was looking to gain a deeper understanding of the global film industry and its trends. The course provided me with a comprehensive overview of film history, theory, and production, which was very helpful. I particularly appreciated the case studies on African cinema, which gave me valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing filmmakers on the continent. The course materials were also very useful, especially the readings on film marketing and distribution. However, I did find some of the topics to be a bit too broad at times, and I would have liked more focus on the African film industry. Overall, I'm satisfied with the course and feel like I gained a good understanding of the film industry, but I think it could be improved with more regional focus.
