I took the Certificate in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling (Advanced) course at Stanmore School of Business, and it was a really great experience. The course was well-structured, and the materials were easy to follow. I liked that we got to explore different approaches to counseling, like CBT and motivational interviewing. The instructors were nice, and they answered all my questions. One thing that was really helpful was the group work - we got to practice our skills with each other, and it was cool to see how different people approached the same problems. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that some of the topics felt a bit rushed, but overall, I'm happy with what I learned, and I feel like it will help me in my job as a counselor.
