I took the Masterclass Certificate in Urban Resilience Planning at Stanmore School of Business and it was a really great experience. The course covered a lot of important topics, like urban planning, disaster risk reduction, and community engagement. I liked that the instructors were all experts in their fields and shared lots of examples from their own work. The course materials were pretty good too - I especially liked the videos and the discussions with my classmates. One thing that was really helpful was learning about different tools and techniques for assessing urban resilience, like the UN's City Resilience Index. It's been really useful in my work with local governments in Brazil. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this course to others, but maybe with a bit more focus on Latin American contexts.
WOW, just WOW! The Masterclass Certificate in Urban Resilience Planning at Stanmore School of Business was AMAZING!!! I learned so much about how to make cities more resilient to natural disasters and climate change. The instructors were super knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and the course materials were incredibly detailed and relevant. I loved the interactive quizzes and games - they made the learning experience really fun and engaging. One of the most valuable things I took away from the course was the importance of community participation in urban planning. We worked on a project to develop a community-led resilience plan, which was a really eye-opening experience. I've already started applying what I learned in my work with a Japanese NGO, and I'm excited to see the impact it will have. The content was quite comprehensive, covering a wide range of topics from urban ecology to infrastructure resilience. I appreciated the focus on European case studies, which were highly relevant to my work in Denmark. The course materials were of high quality, with clear and concise readings, videos, and quizzes. One area where I think the course could improve is in providing more opportunities for peer feedback and discussion. Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the overall learning experience and would recommend this course to professionals working in urban planning and resilience. The skills I gained in spatial analysis and scenario planning have already been useful in my work with a Danish municipality.
