I was blown away by the 'Preserving Mid-Century Modern Landscapes' course at Stanmore School of Business! As a landscape architect from the United States, I was eager to learn about the unique challenges and opportunities of preserving these iconic landscapes. The course content was incredibly comprehensive, covering everything from the historical context of mid-century modern design to the practical skills needed to restore and maintain these landscapes. I particularly appreciated the case studies on famous landscapes like the Miller House and Garden, which gave me a deeper understanding of the design principles and preservation strategies used in these projects. The course materials were top-notch, with excellent video lectures, readings, and assignments that really helped me apply the concepts to real-world scenarios. Overall, I'm so satisfied with the course and feel confident in my ability to preserve and protect these amazing landscapes for future generations.
I took the 'Preserving Mid-Century Modern Landscapes' course at Stanmore School of Business to learn more about the preservation of cultural heritage sites in Japan. The course was pretty cool, and I liked the way it covered the international context of mid-century modern design. The lectures on the influence of Japanese gardens on modern landscape design were really interesting, and I appreciated the examples of how these designs have been preserved and adapted in contemporary landscapes. The course materials were mostly good, but I thought some of the readings could have been more in-depth. Still, the course was worth it,! and I gained some useful knowledge and skills that I can apply to my work in historic preservation.
Oh my goodness, I am just so excited about the 'Preserving Mid-Century Modern Landscapes' course at Stanmore School of Business! As an architecture student from Egypt, I was fascinated by the opportunity to learn about the preservation of modern landscapes, which is a relatively new field in our country. The course was amazing, with fantastic instructors who were so knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. I loved the way the course covered the technical aspects of preservation, such as the use of traditional materials and techniques, as well as the cultural and historical context of these landscapes. The assignments were really fun, too - I got to work on a project to design a preservation plan for a mid-century modern landscape in Cairo, which was a great way to apply the concepts to a real-world scenario. Overall, I'm completely satisfied with the course and feel like I gained so much from it!
I recently completed the 'Preserving Mid-Century Modern Landscapes' course at Stanmore School of Business, and I must say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience. As a heritage conservation professional from Ireland, I was interested in learning more about the preservation of modern landscapes, which is an area that is often overlooked in our field. The course content was excellent, with a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. I particularly appreciated the detailed analysis of the preservation challenges and opportunities facing mid-century modern landscapes, as well as the case studies on successful preservation projects in Europe and North America. The course materials were of high quality, with well-structured lectures and readings that were relevant to the topic. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include more examples of preservation projects from outside the Anglophone world, which would help to give students a more global perspective on the subject. Overall, however, I was very satisfied with the course and would recommend it to anyone interested in heritage conservation or landscape preservation.
